I have taught in school based nurseries, Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and mixed age classes since 2007.  Over the years I have lead large Early Years teams and worked on senior leadership teams to set up new Early Years units and redesign others to improve standards.  More recently I have worked in a very small school with a mixed EYFS and KS1 classroom where my passion for teaching key stage 1 through provision really came to life.

If you're here I'm sure you already know the power that play has on children's learning.  Countless studies over the years have proved it is the best way for young children to make connections, practise and remember new learning.  So let's harness what Early Years practitioners do so well and add that extra challenge for Key Stage 1 children.
